AirAsia — JRD Tata Tribute Campaign
AirAsia sought to celebrate the growth of AirAsia India by honouring the man without whom commercial aviation in India would not have been possible — JRD Tata, the pioneer who laid the foundation for the country’s aviation industry.
The Tata Group has played a defining role in shaping Indian aviation over the decades and has also been a key supporter of the AirAsia India venture. To acknowledge this legacy, AirAsia created a digital tribute to JRD Tata — whose vision of connecting India through the skies continues to resonate with AirAsia’s own philosophy: “Now Everyone Can Fly.”
The project involved the design and development of a campaign microsite and digital experience that celebrated JRD Tata’s contributions to aviation while aligning with AirAsia’s energetic and accessible brand identity.
Through art direction, campaign design, and microsite UI/UX, the project translated this tribute into a visually engaging digital platform that communicated both heritage and aspiration — honouring the legacy of Indian aviation while reinforcing AirAsia’s mission of making air travel accessible to everyone.
